So.
I just had the best birthday of my life. The friends I wanted to be there were and it was just the most amazing feeling in the world to have people I love surround me and just want to have fun.
I was a bit depressed that my brain twin wasn't there but apparently...My dog was channeling him and it was amazing. Missed you! <3
To all those people who were here; Thank you. I love you.
To all those who couldn't make it but wanted to; I love you. <3 Next time, kay?
To those who just didn't show up because they wanted to be a punk and let petty things get in the way of everything else because they're stuck up; Forget you.
But I've had the best birthday of my life and I appreciate all that you guys did for me. <3
The road is open and I'm going to take it.
Life is going to be better because I make it that way. I'm ridding myself of the bad and bringing in the good. I'm done with everything and one who brings me down.
This is the start of a new day. <3
Best of luck,
Megan

A Depressing Moment
I don't ever like feeling like this.
Like I'm second best.
It's everywhere I look.
I'm the one you go to when your number one is occupied.
Everything is more important than what I feel because you always know I'll be around.
I'm looked over for boyfriends, other people who in some cases never gave a care or listened, someone new, someone old...Just other people all the time.
And yet, I always listen and I've always be around when you've needed me.
I also feel like a lot of the time, I impose myself on people.
'It's our thing.' You have no idea how much that one line slices through me when ever I hear it. I'm sorry. I don't think I'll bother anymore.
....
And then it's after moments like these when I sit and wonder...
Do they even notice I feel this way? Or am I just the most amazing actor?
And then I think I should tell them how I feel.
And I think;
'What difference would that make?'
I'll sit here for a moment and take a deep breath.
Maybe things will look up. I've got to have faith they will.
And then I know. I need to start looking out for myself.
But after all these years of putting everyone before myself...How do I do that?
I don't know but I think I'm going to find out or my heart will always remain in tiny little pieces.

Daily Thoughts: 3-18-09
Live for today.
I believe the Smashing Pumpkins did a great job with this lyric.
"Today is the greatest day I've ever known."
Save tomorrow's worries for tomorrow and live in today.
Stop living in the past because it ruins today for you.
Live for today.
Meaning:
-Don't fight with someone you love. Today is the only day you have with them.
-Don't worry about what people might think. Because today, it's about you and life.
-Don't let stress get you and pull you under. Because it doesn't matter in the end.
-Don't let the past keep you grounded. What's done is done. Today can be a new day.
-Dance like no one's watching, laugh like no one's business and love like there isn't a tomorrow.
Live for this moment, it might be the only one you've got.
Good luck,
Megan

Dear Megan [3-02-09]
Dear Megan,
Prom is only a few months away and I'm all ready to go but there's only one problem. The guy I want to go with doesn't want to go. I would beg but I don't want to force him into going if he would absolutely hate it. What should I do?

Dear Prom Princess;
Going to prom is a big deal in highschool. I can understand why your guy doesn't want to go to prom due to the fact that it's over idolized in the movies and tv and many people report how much of a "let down" it is. There is really no way to convince him other wise but just explain to him how much you would like to go with him. If he continues to say no, give him some time and try again.
The best way to handle this is just to tell him how you feel.
Good luck,
Megan

Dear Megan [2-28-09]
Introduction: Hi. I'm Megan. And I get random letters asking for advice and so I post them and answer them. :3
Wanna ask me something? Just send it to me!
----
Dear Megan, there's this guy and he's driving me crazy. He thinks that I should just give in but I'm not willing to be a pushover. So what should I do? Signed Proving Herself

Dear Proving Herself;
There is a difference between being a pushover and giving a little. If this guy is constantly asking you to give into his demands then you need to take a stand and tell him that you’re not easily pushed over. There is no easy way to say that you’re not a door mat so just coming out and saying it is the best method.
On another note, if this is a constant thing, you two need to sit down and have a discussion about how you feel about the situation.
Good luck,
Megan

UPDATE LETTER;
Dear Megan,
Thanks so much for all of your help. Things have been worked out and hopefully this fight has allowed us to learn more about each other and grow as people. You're amazing and I know now who to always turn to for advice. You rock!
----
Dear Megan,
There's this girl that I'm absolutely crazy about. She makes me feel fantastic. She's kind, she's pretty, she's smart, and there's a bunch of other things too. She just gives me this warm feeling on the inside. I not exactly sure on what to do to show her how I feel. Do you have any advice for me in that realm? - One Lucky Guy
---
Dear One Lucky Guy,
That’s great to hear! There’s nothing better than having the warm butterflies in your tummy. But showing one how one feels is a tough thing to do. Sometimes we have no idea how to go about it but sometimes the most simple of gestures are some of the most remembered and most loved memories. Little gestures could be the 25 cent rings you get from grocery stores, a single red rose, or a handwritten note with a heart. A well placed hug is always a plus.
Keep it simple and keep it real and you’ll never go wrong. Sometimes girls just want to be swept up off their feet. I think you’ve got all abilities to make her happy. Congratulations and don’t let her go!
Good luck,
Megan
